DraftKings & FanDuel stacks are important, especially in bigger tournaments. Playing two players from the same team who can double up on points for you can give you the edge to rack up points and win money.
Stacks in daily fantasy sports are commonly a Quarterback and Running Back or Wide Receiver from the same team. Playing them together means you have the potential for double the points if they score a touchdown. Choosing the right DraftKings and FanDuel stacks can give you the edge in your tournament.
For week 1 of the NFL season, have a look below for our recommended DraftKings & FanDuel stacks to play.
Top DraftKings & FanDuel Stacks
- Russell Wilson & Doug Baldwin (SEA) vs GB – Seattle and Green Bay have been projected by many as the game of the week, with plenty of fantasy points to be scored. There is uncertainty in the Seattle backfield with Thomas Rawls dinged up and Eddie Lacy not scaring anybody. Due to this, Wilson could have a busy day with his arm and Doug Baldwin should be the main target.
Alternative: Due to the uncertainty in the backfield we mentioned above, consider CJ Prosise as a sneaky stack with Wilson. Prosise is the main receiving back and could receive 6-8 targets out of the backfield, which gives decent odds for a passing touchdown oppourtunity.
- Matt Ryan & Julio Jones (ATL) @ CHI – One of the higher priced DraftKings & FanDuel stacks this week, Ryan and Jones should have their way with the Chicago defence. Another high-scoring projected game, 2 or 3 touchdowns does not seem that crazy for Jones and Atlanta, who will be on a mission following their Super Bowl loss.
Alternative: The second receiver for Atlanta is currently a crapshoot, which could mean big money if you guess right. Mohamed Sanu is a decent bet to receive good opportunity opposite Julio. For a twist, Austin Hooper at Tight End could be a cheap and sneaky play for targets.
- Cam Newton & Kelvin Benjamin (CAR) @ SF – Carolina has flown a bit under the radar to start the season, but draw a favourable San Francisco matchup to start the year. Second receiver in Carolina is a crapshoot with an underperforming Devin Funchess and dinged up Curtis Samuel as top options. This should mean plenty of chances for Benjamin to find the endzone in a game where Carolina is favoured by 6 points on the road.
Alternative: Lots of hype around Christian McCaffrey who is a dual running and receiving threat for Newton. A sneakier option is Jonathon Stewart who’s role on the team should not disappear right off the bat.
- Deshone Kizer & Corey Coleman (CLE) vs PIT – A pure value play here, Kizer + Coleman is one of the cheapest DraftKings or FanDuel stacks you can find that give you the potential for tons of points. The success of this play is dependent on Kizer impressing in his debut and Coleman reaching the potential he showed at the start of last year. Pittsburgh’s defence is no slouch, making it even tougher to call this one. If Cleveland happens to find success, you will get to spend money on other studs and could walk away with some big cash here.
Alternative: Duke Johnson should get the chance to catch 5+ targets out of the backfield from Kizer, who will no doubt check down his throws often. If Cleveland gets behind, Johnson should get plenty of yards against a soft defence, which could reward you.
